Over the course of the last two years, the Greenside Residents’ Association has been working to address the problem of municipal by-laws and policies (as well as provincial and even national laws)being flouted by business establishments in the Greenside business node, which runs along Gleneagles road and Greenway. Following a range of approaches and attempts involving extensive liaison with a range of municipal agencies the Association finally involved the Public Protector in order to ensure accountability for non-delivery.

Public Meeting on Valuations

Following many phone calls and e-mails from residents with queries on the valuation process, the objection procedure and what to do if struggling to pay the new rates based on a higher valuation of a property, I have organised a public meeting to provide you with more information and have invited experts (a representative from the Valuations Department and DA Spokesperson for Finance, John Mendelsohn) to help answer your questions.
